Zalo Biography
Zalo Kenneth is a Kenyan linguist, upcoming philosopher, social critic, and political activist. Zalo is also an upcoming figure in analytic philosophy and one of the faculty members of the department of Literature, Linguistics & Foreign Languages of Moi University, with an experience of 20 years of University teaching. Author of several published works, he ideologically aligns with libertarian socialism. Main Fields of Interest: Sociolinguistics; Language Acquisition; Contrastive Linguistics and Error Analysis; French Language Teaching and FFL Training; Bilingual Education ; Language and Ethnicity; Multilingualism as a Resource; Language Politics; Identity. Main Research Outputs: A study on Education and the development nationalism in Kenya (case study: of Kakamega Municipality & Kakamega North districts); A Study of Language Attitudes, Language Use and Language Functions in Secondary Schools in Kenya; A Survey of Cross-cultural Use of French among Kenyan University Students.
