Dr Bramwel Matui is a Senior Lecturer in Political science and Public Administration in the Department of History, Political science and Public Administration in the School of Arts and Social Sciences. In June 4-5, 2012 Dr Matui participated as a Volunteer in the Hague Process on Refugees and Migration in the Peace Palace (The Hague) in The Netherlands. Dr Matui Has PhD in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University in the Netherlands; Master of Arts in International relations (Webster University, USA 2013) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Governance, Democratization and Public Policy from the ISS (2010). In Addition, Dr Matui has an Mphil in Development Studies (Moi University, 2004) and Bachelor of Arts Degree (Second Upper 1995, Kenyatta University). Prior to joining University in 2009, Dr Matui was a District Youth and Sports Officer (2007-2009) and a Deputy District Land Adjudication/Settlement Officer (1999-2007) in West Pokot and Narok district. He is a researcher in Development Management and international Relations with a focus on the following themes: Politics, Institutionalism, Organizations, mobilities, affiliations, integrations, and Public Policy. His recent book from his PhD work titled “Collective Memory, Intra-ethnic interactions: the politics of becoming and being “Sabaot” in Kenya was underpinned by ethnic response to their Forced displacement.
