Prof. Dr. Mary P. Nyawira Wahome is a DAAD Scholar and holds a BA, MA & PhD in Philosophy from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. She is an Associate Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy, Religion & Theology, School of Arts & Social sciences, Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya. She has taught, supervised and examined Undergraduate and Post-Graduate students in Moi University for several years. She is a researcher of among other areas, University Graduate Tracer Studies (GTS), moral and developmental issues. She has published a book, book chapters and articles in refereed journals. She has participated in developing Training Manuals for higher education and for youth development. She has attended and participated in several training workshops, conferences and seminars globally and locally including DIES/ Graduate Tracer Studies (GTS), DIES International Deans’ Course (IDC), DIES/ National Multiplication Trainings (NMT), inter- University Council of East Africa’s East African Universities Quality Assurance Network ( EAQAN) , Kenya Universities Quality Assurance Network ( KUQAN), PASGR’S PedaL and Gendering Policy- Engaged Research trainings. Together with team members from Moi University, Kibabii, Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology and Alupe University Campus she has lately won two grants funded by DAAD of NMT Projects. These are ; “ Enhancing Strategic Leadership & Management of Higher Education Institutions in Kenya in Post- Covid-19 Era” and NMT Micro Funds for Development Transfer 2021 , “ Development of Induction Training Course for Newly Appointed Academic Heads of departments at Universities through Toprate Training System”. She is a member of the Africa Cluster Centre of Excellence, Bayreuth, Germany, a board member of Moi University Cluster Centre and currently the Spokesperson of the Research Section, Moralities. She has served in administrative positions as Head of Department of Philosophy, Religion & Theology, Associate Dean and currently Acting Dean, School of Arts & Social Sciences, Moi University.
